Terms and Conditions
Effective Date: July 1, 2025
These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of ChatTorah (“we,” “us,” or “our”) and all related services, content, and features offered through our website and applications (collectively, the “Platform”). By creating an account or using the Platform, you agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy.
1. Eligibility
Use of the Platform is permitted for individuals who are at least 13 years of age. Users under the age of 18 must obtain parental or guardian consent to use the Platform. Organizational accounts may be supported in the future but are not yet available.
2. Use of the Platform
The Platform provides AI-powered Torah search, source linking, and related tools. Additional features may be introduced over time. You agree to use the Platform only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms.
3. Account Registration
To access certain features, you may be required to create an account. You agree to provide accurate information and keep your credentials secure. You are responsible for all activity under your account.
4. Subscriptions and Payments
We offer a freemium model with both free and paid subscription tiers. Paid subscriptions are billed monthly. You may cancel at any time prior to your next billing cycle to avoid future charges.
If you make a payment but do not use the Platform beyond the free tier, you may request a refund within 3 calendar days of payment. Refunds will not be issued after that period. Cancellations made after 3 days will apply to future billing cycles only.
5. User Content and Uploads
You may upload documents for your own private use. Public comments, notes, and sefer uploads are not permitted. Authorized publishers may be granted access to a dedicated content portal at a future date, subject to separate agreements.
6. Prohibited Conduct
You agree not to:
- Scrape, harvest, or extract data from the Platform without permission
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or tamper with any portion of the Platform
- Submit offensive, hateful, or unlawful material
- Use the Platform for commercial purposes without authorization
- Impersonate others or misrepresent your identity
- Attempt to disrupt or harm the functionality of the Platform
7. Suspension and Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at our discretion, with or without notice, if you violate these Terms, pose a risk to the security or integrity of the Platform, or as required by law.
8. No Guarantee of Accuracy
The Platform utilizes artificial intelligence to generate responses. While we aim to provide helpful and meaningful content, we do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or halachic validity of any output. The Platform should not be relied upon as a substitute for traditional Torah study or qualified rabbinic consultation.
9. Intellectual Property
All content, software, and materials on the Platform (excluding user-uploaded documents) are the property of ChatTorah or its licensors and are protected by applicable copyright and intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works without prior written permission.
10. Legal Jurisdiction
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Israel, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts in Israel.
11. Consent to Terms
By creating an account and checking the required box at registration, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms and our Privacy Policy.
12. Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to update these Terms at any time. Material changes will be communicated through the Platform or by email. Continued use of the Platform after such changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
